Fun Fact: Patrick knows the number of matchsticks used to build each model by counting cases of matchsticks used for each project. Every container of match splints purchased is by weight, 14 lbs per case, which is equal to 33,000 matchsticks. In earlier years he would count the number of boxes used after purchasing the matchsticks from the grocery store, knowing each box contained 250 matches.
